This weekend I’m heading to Boyne, Michigan with a group of 20 friends for our 2nd annual ski trip! Last year, we made the long drive out to West Virginia where there unfortunately wasn’t much snow. We made the most of the rainy weekend by playing games, eating, drinking and relaxing. This year, it looks the weather is going to cooperate and we’re all looking forward to getting out onto the fresh powder!
In addition to hitting the slopes, I’m also hoping to carve out some time to explore the cute mountain town of Boyne and relax in the nearby hot springs.
I thought I’d give you a peek inside my bag and share what I’m packing. If you have a winter getaway or ski trip planned this season, I hope you’ll find it helpful! Below is my packing list for our Boyne, Michigan ski trip.
FOR THE SLOPES
Ski pants / pink Hunter puffer coat / long sleeve warming top / thermal socks / gloves / ski goggles
Believe it or not, I still have the same snow pants that I wore on my first ever ski trip back in middle school. Somehow they still fit! They have sort of become my safety blanket on the slopes. I even have all the lift tickets from every ski trip still attached!
Although my pants are practically antiques, my pink puffer coat is a new addition! When it comes to ski outfits, layering is key and I really like adding a pop of color. It’s more fun and makes me easier to spot in a crowd!
FOR THE SHOPS
Turtleneck dress / black booties / light wash denim / white bodysuit / faux fur vest / snow boots
In addition to skiing, I’m also really looking forward to spending some time exploring the town of Boyne. It looks like there are some cute shops and restaurants to check out, so I’m taking a few casual, cozy options with me.
FOR THE HOT SPRINGS
One piece cutout suit / classic one piece suit / high rise bikini
After a couple days of skiing, I’ll be ready for a day of relaxation. Luckily there is a nearby indoor hot springs that a few of us are eager to check out! I’m definitely throwing a couple swimsuits in my bag for our day of R&R!
There you have it! That’s what’s going in my bag. Since we’re driving up, I don’t have to worry about over packing so I may throw a few extra items in just in case!
