I’ve been on a travel hiatus the last few weeks while I was working in New York. Although it has been nice spending weekends relaxing at home, I’m so excited to get back to traveling today! In just a few hours I’ll be leaving work and heading straight to the airport to meet my Russian. We’re flying to Brussels to enjoy a long weekend with some friends!
It will be my 2nd time visiting, I spent 24 hours in Brussels last year! But it will be Serge’s first trip and I’m looking forward to showing him around the beautiful city! I thought I’d give you a peek inside my bag and show you what I’m packing. Below is my packing list for springtime in Brussels.
FOR THE PLANE
I’m all about being comfy when I travel without looking frumpy. I’m also keeping my fingers crossed that we’ll get a first class upgrade so I want to look somewhat put together! I plan to throw on a cape similar to this that is functional and lightweight and an easy way to add instant style even over leggings and a sweater.
SIGHTSEEING
I’m really looking forward to showing Serge all of Brussles main attractions – Grand Place Square, Monte des Arts, Maneken Pis and the Royal Gallery as well as discovering some hidden gems! I plan to keep it casual and with jeans a white tee and this pink trench coat in case I get chilly!
EASY DAYTIME TO DINNER
La Belle Maraîchère is a delicious seafood restaurant right in the heart of the city. I ate there on my first trip and it was one of the best meals ever! There are a ton of great restaurants to choose from and I’m looking forward to finding some new ones. This ruffled turtleneck easily transitions from day to dinner. It looks great with jeans for exploring during the day or with a skirt and heels for dinner out.
A NIGHT OUT
The last time I visited Brussels. I was with my dad, so we didn’t do much partying. Although I’m not planning to get too crazy this trip, I did throw this red lace skirt into my bag. Paired with a black sweater and leather jacket, it’ll be the perfect outfit just in case we decide to check out Impasse del la Fidélité an alley lined with bars and late night spots.
