If you’ve been following me over on the ‘gram, you know that I’m back in one of my favorite places on earth…be headed back to Hawaii! This trip marks my 5th visit and I find that I fall in love with it more each time. This getaway is extra special because I’m spending it with one of my best friends! Aubrey and I have known each other since our sorority days at Depauw and have stayed close throughout the years. It’s her first time in Hawaii and I cannot wait for her to experience the beauty of Kauai.
I wanted to give you a peek at some of the items I packed. Since this will be more of a relaxing getaway rather than an action packed adventure, I decided pack easy dresses, jumpsuits and cover-ups. This will also be a relatively short trip, just 3 days and 3 nights so I wanted to keep it simple and take pieces that were perfect for enjoying beach days, relaxing by the pool and a few sunset dinners. Below is a look at my Hawaii packing list!

BEACHY THINGS
We’ll be spending plenty of time (lathered in sunscreen) soaking up the sun by the pool or on one of Kauai’s many beautiful beaches. I’m throwing in a few one piece swimsuits and cover-ups. I wasn’t a fan of the one piece when they first came back in style, but I’m officially converted and now I’m a big fan!
DAYTIME LOOKS
If we need a break from the sun and sand to explore the island, grab lunch or do some shopping, I wanted a few cute and casual daytime options.
GIRLS’ NIGHT OUT
After a day in the sun it will be nice to dress up a bit and enjoy a delicious dinner, sip on some fruity cocktails and watch the sun go down. Here are the evening options I’m packing.
And that’s about it! I really wanted to avoid over-packing for this trip, so I picked options that all worked with the same shoes and purse. I also did my best to avoid throwing in “back-up” items that I know I won’t wear, which I have a tendency to do! I managed to fit my clothes, shoes, purse, pjs, makeup, toiletries, sunscreen, swimsuits, cover-ups, sun hat and all my camera gear into just a carry-on and beach bag. Not too shabby!
